Hermosa Beach, California
''We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...We need silence in order to be able to touch souls.'' - Mother Theresa
I love the beach. There’s something about the feel of sand between your toes and the cold blast of salt water to make you feel alive. I live at the beach. I play with my yoga postures, practicing my hand stands. Much of the time, you’ll see me twirling, dancing around, or chasing the seagulls with a loaf of bread! I’m a nature girl. A horse lover. An animal lover. A water girl. A Cancer sign. Sensitive. Empathic. I’ve been on a spiritual path and an inner journey for a very long time. I moved to LA from Chicago almost five years ago for the chance at a new life, a new beginning. I left a marriage that was killing me, little by little, day by day. I left in a million pieces and I have been putting myself back together ever since. Truly, the beach helped me heal. I came to LA to get my Masters in Spiritual Psychology as I had a penchant for ancient mystical teachings and a passion to help others. Now, my days are about joy. About giving back. Helping people. Creating. Playing. Laughing, and most importantly, opening up and sharing what’s in my heart. Not to mention, learning to live without asking permission. I’m committed to knowing who I am and not being afraid to put myself out there.
Some of my favorite looks are inspired by the beach. I love halter tops paired with destroyed denim. It’s a perfect beach look that’s effortless. Spiritual Gangster, Gypsy and Chan Luu are some of my favorite brands to inspire a day at the beach.
The beaches in the Southbay of Los Angeles are stunning. Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach are two of my favorites. A bit of a different vibe in each community. Hopefully, these looks will inspire you to hit the beach in boho chic fashion.
