''I still have my feet on the ground, I just wear better shoes.'' -Oprah Winfrey
Ok, I admit it. I’m a reformed handbag addict. I couldn’t walk into a store without heading straight to the accessories department and combing through the latest handbags. The handbag clearance table was a bit of a magnet that I couldn’t resist. Over time, as my journey led me down the path of becoming a fashion blogger, I soon developed a bit of an obsession for gorgeous design and particularly the love of a beautiful shoe. As I mentioned in my earlier post about Paul Andrew, one of my top shoe designers, I feel there’s no easier way to change up a look than by a quick change of accessories.
Like many of you, I love to combine unusual color combinations. A vibrant red hue with a rich purple tone. A cherry red dress paired with a yellow bag and strappy sandals. Skinny jeans, a simple top, and killer pumps with whimsical patterns and colors, makes the perfect look. Solid black from head to toe, with stand out shoes, is a super simple look for any age. Going from day to evening couldn’t be easier with a change from casual flats to a dressier pump. Most women love a great bargain, and I love shopping for discount treasures wherever I go. Designer outlets, flea markets, consignment shops and discount stores, always provide a source of inspiration. I love hearing from my readers and learning about your style challenges. It’s so fun to share my style secrets and to learn from all of you as well. I’m inspired by beautiful women. I’m inspired by YOU.
I always encourage women to invest in the classics while skimping on the trends, as trends come and go quickly, I tend to not follow trends and love creating my own sense of style, what I like to call #CGOStyle. With the perfect shoe, it’s so easy to create the perfect look.
