“Whoever said that money can’t buy happiness, simply didn’t know where to go shopping.” – Bo Derek

She has perfected her buying craft, carefully hand selecting each designer in her online store. I could not have been more delighted to work with Purple Poppy and find a new online source for fabulous fashion inspiration. In this Cape Cod coterie they’re all about personalized customer service. I loved that their stylists seemed to read my mind as to the perfect Boho beachy look just for me. Opening the box from Purple Poppy, I was over the moon when I saw this skirt. With it’s tie dye inspiration and the tiered ruffle design, I was ready for a day out in the South Bay. Driving down to the Palos Verdes Peninsula, my photog and I decided to shoot at Malaga Cove. It’s a quaint shopping center that always draws the local photographers with its interesting architecture and fabulous archways.
The skirt is light, cozy and comfy with just the right touch of added ruffle. With a design that’s unique and simple, it’s very easy to style it for day or evening. I tossed on a simple tee from Zara. A plain tank with some gladiator sandals would be an easy way to change up the look and dress it down. The pearl necklace is truly a work of art as it illuminates and frames your face. It’s filled with strand after strand of the most luminous pearls. A statement necklace is an easy way to create a look. Couldn’t you see this necklace at a black tie event or dressed down with a plain tee and your favorite skinny jeans? There are endless ways to style both pieces.
I brought along a classic hat from Michael Stars as it had a similar vibe. The classic round sunnies are from Rayban. You don’t go very far in the South Bay without a cool pair of shades as it’s perpetual sunshine in these parts. This look could be styled multiple ways and I selected a dressier pair of sandals from Tamara Mellon to add a little sophistication to the look. With a crossbody by Hammitt from Cami Boutique in Manhattan Beach, it was just the right finishing touch.
Purple Poppy is like traveling to Cape Cod in a more virtual way. With lives busier than ever, it’s a way of bringing the feel of the Cape to you without the hassle. Thank you, Purple Poppy, as you’ve won a new fan. With brilliant customer service and many fabulous lines all in one place, I know it’s going to be your new favorite as it is mine.
