Sometimes fashion can be complicated. Sometimes fashion can be super simple. If I have a choice, I’ll always choose the latter. Simple is my mantra. There’s nothing like the perfect dress to keep things simple and easy.

ASOS is one of my go to websites. It’s an online destination where I know I can always find what I’m looking for, especially in a pinch. It’s not only brimming with everything from an endless range of denim to fabulous gowns, it’s super affordable with some of the best deals on the web.

When I saw this Maxi dress, I was hooked. The best part of wearing a Maxi dress in a vibrant print is instant style. Just add a pair of boots – I LOVE white boots – toss on some earrings (Sunnies if you’re in LA LA land!) and, boom – you’re done!

Maxi dresses tend to be a favorite “default” for me. They’re part of my “uniform.” They serve multiple purposes for the woman at Midlife & Beyond looking to Master Modern Style. The first benefit is they cover your legs gracefully without feeling like you’re hiding them. If your legs are your favorite body part, show them off! This maxi lets you do both with the perfect wrap that highlights your waistline while incorporating a subtle side slit for a peek of your legs. The longer sleeve is wonderful for older women who prefer to cover their arms. I’m in love with the ruffled sleeve detail and the refreshing plaid design in the prettiest shade of red.

If you’re looking to Master Modern Style, a Maxi is a great place to start. This one is on sale for only $40 and could easily pass for a much pricier designer. I’ve linked some of my favorite Maxis to take you from fall through the new year.  For chillier climates, a long cardigan would be a great addition. The Sunnies are from Claire’s. Adding a pair of stand out sunglasses definitely adds to the style factor.

The boots were an amazing sale find by Steve Madden, a well priced line with a beautiful selection of boots for women of all ages. I’ve been living in this pair! I’ve combed through a wide range of boots for fall and linked my top picks.

Just because the temperatures may be falling where you are, it doesn’t mean you have to be relegated to covering up any wearing dark, wintery colors. Why not add a pop of color to brighten any fall or winter day? You don’t need to spend a fortune with all the wonderful deals online. Cheers Beauties, what’s your favorite way to Master Modern Style?
